Just an update: Car may be coming home today minus stat as he didn't order or couldn't get one? I'll know once the rest is done & stat tested again. Annoying as it was meant to be done along with t/belt, pump & CTS
If it doesn't get done, I'll order one & do it myself. Only thing is if it needs doing now, it won't be coming home today & will have to remain in shop for weeks. I love workshops! The experience is always so lacklustre....

Thermostat has to be replaced after all so, it remains in workshop for another few weeks I suppose. Would've been an idea for him have ordered it last week you'd think? Also, fans are coming on & going off @ wrong times. Intermittent ECU codes that reappear once cleared. Definitely needs auto elec to go over it once it's back. No joy with this thing so far...
