I have no intention of driving the car hard in the winter, so a more comfortable and less expensive set of wheels and rims seem like a logical way to go. I see a lot of chatter about square vs. offset, 18" vs. 19" and brake clearance... There also seems to be a power rating on some rims, which I guess makes sense, I have never driven a car with 400hp before, so this is new to me. Is there a clear guide on what I can and can't install on the car, without going to the dealer and have them try to sell me their overpriced setup?
I am thinking 18", square setup. As for tyre choice, I am also open to suggestion. I prefer a compromise between grip and durability. Also I am thinking all weather from late autumn through early spring and then summer tyres in summer
