I’m in the process of prepping my two week old S3 for ceramic coatings. The gloss black B pillars came with slight swirl marks from the dealer which I expected. When correcting this with a gentle finishing polish and a 2” finishing pad, I noticed the Audi S3 etching that’s on the bottom of the pillars had faded slightly. To my amazement this hasn’t been lackered over, it’s unprotected and ready to wear away. I masked this area off on the passenger side so that’s fine but the drivers side isn’t 100%. I’m guessing that ordering new B pillar covers will be straight forward but expensive but I can’t see how to remove the old ones. Anyone have experience of how to remove these gloss black panels that are attached to the doors?
