Dry with leaf blower?

I can't be the only one...

I purchased a $30 electric leaf blower to dry my S3 and my MX-5 after washing them. I can't be the only person who does this to minimize surface scratches when drying the car, am I?

I only use Chemical Guys products on my S3 (and MX-5) and then use their "happy ending" microfiber towels to dry the car after blowing 95% of the water off after washing.

Curious if anyone else uses a leaf blower to dry their cars?

I do that on the grill, side mirrors and wheels.

haha, I used it more on our SUV these days. The S3 is small enough where 4 large microfiber towels is sufficient for the whole car.

I have been using both a backpack and an electric blower to dry my vehicles for the past 20 years.
Can't figure why it isn't a more popular option with non professional detailers.

I think most people just don't know about it or its too much of a hassle to plug it in.

leaf blower is a great way to dry your Audi. I leave a little water behind on purpose so I can apply a detail spray and then wipe.

i live in hte desert. i use it to blow the dust off too.
