MK6 or MK7 Golf R trying to decide what to modify?

I wanted to get a daily driver and mod it around 400 hp I wasent sure If getting MK6 Golf R will be up to the task or do I need to look for MK7. I was checking out Intergraded Engineering web page but did not see MK6 only MK7 & 8. Also want to get a manual transmission.

Check out Unitronic, they have modifications for both models, Bill
